2009 Charitable Donation

 This past holiday, we met a new M.O.M. at UConn Medical in Farmington.  The mother delivered twin boys very early, at only 26 weeks gestation, due to pre-term labor.  The twins are expected to go home in February 2010.



As a club, we collected several cases of diapers and baby wipes; creams and soaps; new and gently used books; a parenting DVD, bath tub, blankets, sheets, bibs and burp cloths; and twin-specific first year baby albums.  We were also able to donate several gift cards to a variety of shops including Stop & Shop, Mobil Gas Station, Wal-Mart and more.

In the Fall of 2009, the Waterbury Area Mothers of Multiples Club donated six new "M.O.M" baskets to the birthing center at Saint Mary’s Hospital.  Baskets will be presented to mothers of twins or triplets (or more!) who have been born at Saint Mary's! 

The new M.O.M.s and the staff at Saint Mary's have been so thankful and appreciative of the baskets, we have  decided to donate baskets for the new M.O.M.s in the future as well!
